Ishqbaaaz pair Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Anika (Surbhi Chandna) aka Shivika set an example for perfect onscreen chemistry
Star Plus show Ishqbaaaz is undoubtedly the most popular show of the time being on Indian Television and the reasons of Ishqbaaaz success are many but unique.
The fresh storyline, equal gender oriented story, strong and well defined characters, the fabulous screenplay which turns eye pleasing in every episode, brilliant star cast and mainly the ‘too hot to handle’ chemistry between lead pair Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna as Shivaay and Anika respectively. A lot has been said about Shivaay and Anika as an onscreen pair. The chemistry and the acting skills are undoubtedly brilliant, so much so that the fans are always left ‘wanting more’. Shivika as they are fondly known, set the screen on fire in the most recent episode (18th February 2017) with their close encounter in the romantic scene.
The relation which started with hatred has reached the epitome of love and romance as Shivaay is set to revive’s Anika’s feelings towards him since she has lost the memory. Shivaay is determined to make Anika insecure and jealous as he is set to get married to Tia, and is Anika getting insecure? Definitely!! how much ever Anika tries to hide her feelings, her feelings keep surfacing on her face (hats off to Surbhi Chandna!!). Shivaay doesn’t stop there, he entices Anika on every possible opportunity, gets close to her and pulls away from Anika after setting her pulses high.
Anika is seen juggling between pools of emotions around Shivaay. Though Shivaay has never confessed his love to Anika, he clearly is falling deep in love with her with each passing day. Shivaay’s struggle to hide his real feelings, to hide his pain when Anika is ill-treated and the undeniable desire towards Anika is being brilliantly portrayed by Nakuul Mehta. The latest episode where Shivaay teases Anika over his ‘supposedly’ romantic snaps with Tia and later Shivaay enticing the romance in Anika was the epitome of the romance. Watching Shivaay and Anika on TV screen everytime is a sheer pleasure. Not to forget the background score, which was a fabulous piece of romantic music turning up the heat.
